I brought my first DSLR camera for Christmas this year. I got the Canon EOS Rebel T6. I am a beginner at photography. My first "professional" opportunity to take pictures was during my internship in college, for Bloomsburg University Huskies athletics teams. I took pictures for Lacrosse, Baseball, and Softball. I had so much fun taking pictures and being close to the action. I never thought of photography as a hobby or career choice until this internship. Ever since I was 8, I have always dreamed of being a professional athlete. We can see how that worked out. I can't be a professional athlete, so why not be the next best thing? I get to be on the field, hear the players and coaches, and I get the best seat in the whole stadium from a fan's perspective. So this newfound love for photography I have acquired has motivated me to pursue a career in photography. I don't want to just stay in Sports, I want to try ALL types of photography. Sports, fashion, lifestyle, landscape, commercial, and whatever other types of photography there is. After I have tried out all the sub-genres of photography, I'll then decide what I will focus on. But for now, I'm open to whatever.
These are a few photos I took so far. I am still getting used to the camera and learning all the settings. I was just messing around in my house and I found my old remote control race car driver "Bob" and used him as a model. Here are the results:
I also found these weird glass cats in my house and took some pictures of them.
I'm still learning my camera and it's going to be along journey. I'm going to document the whole thing on my blog and show my progression. This is only the beginning.
