Isaiah Thomas has returned to the NBA for the 2017-2018 season for his new team the

Cleveland Cavaliers and he looks great!!

The All-Star guard returned in a home game to face off against the Portland Trailblazers and their All-Star returning from injury, Damian Lillard. This is Thomas' first game back since May 9th, 2017 when he was injured in last years Eastern Conference Finals. He came off the bench and dropped 17 points in only 18 minutes. He was 6 for 12 from the field and added 3 assists. LeBron James was his usual self tonight. He led the team in scoring with 24 points 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Kevin Love had 19 points with 7 rebounds while shooting 4 of 5 from the 3 point line. Dwayne Wade supplied 15 points off the bench.

The Portland Trailblazers were a formidable opponent for the reigning Eastern Conference Champions. Damian Lillard returned from injury as well and scored 25 points shooting 6 of 9 from the three point line and dished out 6 assists. Big man Jusuf Nurkic scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The second half of the dynamic duo C.J. McCollum scored 19 points on a lackluster shooting night of 9 for 17.

Isaiah Thomas looked great in his return. He came off the bench and did what he was born to do: put the ball in the basket. His first basket came off a mid-range jump shot towards the end of the first quarter. Thomas will be a great addition to this Cavaliers' team. Neither the Celtics or Cavaliers lost this trade. Both teams received high-caliber guards that can score the ball in high volumes. Isaiah needs to stay healthy throughout the playoffs to help LeBron and the Cavaliers compete with the Western Conference powerhouse and the 2017 NBA Champions Golden State Warriors.
