The Sixers Finally Make A Move, Will It Be Enough?
GM Elton Brand is active before the trade deadline and has made a move to help improve this Sixers' roster.
According to Shams Charania , the Philadelphia Sixers have sent three second round picks to the Golden State Warriors for guard Alec Burks and forward Glen Robinson III. Per source, the picks are 2020 second-round pick via Dallas, 2021 second-round pick via Denver and a 2022 second-round pick via Toronto.
This move will give the disappointing Sixers (31-20; 6th in the East) a nice boost off the bench. Alec Burks is averaging 16.1 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 3.1 APG. Glen Robinson III is averaging 12.9 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 1.8 APG. They are averaging solid numbers on a struggling Warriors (12-40) team that is currently the worst team in league.
This is a good move for the Sixers. Bench scoring and shooting are two things they desperately need. Burks and Robinson III are having career-best seasons. Burks is the prize acquisition of the trade. His 16 points per game and above average 3 point shooting (37.5% 3PT) will be a great addition. GR3 is also a great shooter, averaging 40% 3PT percentage this season. They will provide spacing and playmaking ability for the Sixers' abismal bench.
Philadelphia will need to make another trade or waive two players to make room on there roster for the two new players.
Will this move be enough to help the Sixers to get to the Eastern Conference Finals?
